How to step on the way of personal development? How to define goals for your life?

If you feel sometimes lost and you don't know how to continue it is a good time to stop and just sit down. Take a deep breath and stop thinking about what others says to you, stop thinking about the opinions and stop being afraid of what others will say.

Your life is your life and nobody has the rights to say what to do and how to do. Yes, sometimes people wants to make others to take the decision for them. Sometimes we are just lazy and isn't that harder to find out what we really want? And of course if somebody takes the decision instead of ourselves we can blame them. Can you hear yourself as you say, "That is your fault, you said I should do it!".

But lets go back to the beginning.

Take a paper and start thinking:
- How you feel
- What is your problem what makes you feel how you feel at the moment
- Is this a situation what depends on you?
- Can you change? Is it not in your hand?

What I mean when I say it is in your hand or not? That means you can affect on the problem.  YOU are the real person who CAN SOLVE the PROBLEM!
For example, if you do not like your job, you can decide you look for a better one. This is your decision, it connects to you, because YOU are the person who can CHANGE it!

But if you do not like your boss personality, it is not in your hand, you can not change him/her till he/she doesn't want the changes. Here what you could do, change department and boss, change boss or accept your boss is like so.

The question is always if YOU really want to CHANGE the situation where you do not feel good and you want to improve your life and take the responsibility.


As you identified the problem you can start to think about the problem solving!

Write down your goals regarding the changes. What you want to change.

Remember all GOALS have to be SPECIFIC and the definition should be as SIMPLE as you are able to define. The goals should be MEASURABLE, what means you can identify when you accomplished the goal. Last but not least it should be a POSITIVELY STATED goal.
